What I did:
I worked closely with the creative team to help shape the hotel’s voice and vibe. My goal was to bring it to life throughout the entire site. Done and done! The Lightwell has a unique personality that’s part outdoorsy explorer, and part warm host. My job was to make sure every page echoed that.

I wrote nearly all of the website copy, including:

  • the homepage and hero messaging

  • room descriptions

  • dining pages (Basecamp, Lobby Bar, Viento, Rooftop Bar)

  • the Spa & Springs wellness section

  • seasonal packages

  • about page + brand story

  • and small touches throughout that make the site feel cohesive and welcoming

How it all came together:
I dug into the details: the way the light hits the Gorge, the warmth of the lobby after wind-capped days outside, the PNW tastes coming from the restaurant, the relaxed pace of the Columbia River Gorge. I wanted the copy to feel like you’re already on a little getaway the moment you start reading.

Why it matters:

The final copy helps guests connect to the place and feel confident about booking their stay. It gives a clear and inviting picture of what they can expect. Thoughtful design, local flavors, comfortable rooms, and a sense of adventure just outside the door.

It’s online storytelling with personality, grounded in real hospitality.
